This rebrand for Nissan in the United States is centered around revitalizing the manufacturer’s brand identity. The rebrand has strong themes of nostalgia for older audiences and exciting visuals to attract younger audiences. It focuses on centering Nissan’s sports cars as the focus of the brand; driving excitement about the brand as a whole, while tapping into the heritage and history of Nissan in the U.S. This proposed rebrand allows Nissan to continue to market to the general public under the NIssan name while attracting car enthusiasts of all ages to the brand once again under Datsun. I created a contemporary logo design for the brand that taps into the historic Datsun racing liveries, and old colors brought to life in the modern car market. I created a magazine advertisement that captures the feeling of excitement customers want from Nissan. As well as a web ad infused with the thrill of driving a Nissan sports car. Then I created promotional packaging to be sent out to potential and current customers, complete with a keychain, stickers, informational pamphlet and a poster.
